These pictures could have easily come from anywhere in the Holly Grove area of New Orleans, LA, but they were taken in Galveston, TX, after Hurricane Ike recently hit the coast.
Here are a few of the photos our team on the ground has taken (more soon!):

My Galveston friends are a relilient group and will be about cleaning up, rebuilding and helping their neighbors and friends do the same. My brother David and his wife have their home and business in Galveston and they will ‘keep on keepin’ on’. We always have been a tough lot in Texas. My prayers go with you all. Wish I was there to help mop, sweep, toss, cook, nail, pass out food n water and whatever is needed. My deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones. Things can be replaced. It shakes you up. But loved ones. That is the grievous task to bear. Take time to enjoy the good fall days, fresh air and diminishing mosquitoes when the cooler weather comes in. And I will be prayin for cooler weather for you all.
